Electoral College Insights
I was recently checking out 270toWin.com, and found some interesting insights into which states have a track record of picking the winning presidential candidate in the general election.
Here's what I noticed:
- Missouri has picked the winning president the last 12 elections (since 1960) and 25 out of the last 26 elections (not 1956 (Adlai Stevenson))
- Kentucky, Ohio, and Tennessee have picked the winner the last 11 elections (since 1964)
- Arkansas and Louisiana have picked the winner the last 9 elections (since 1972)
- Nevada has picked the winner the last 7 elections (since 1980) and 23 out the last 24 elections (not 1976 (Gerald R. Ford))
